This post looks at the specifications, features and applications of the new green <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prophotonix.com\/led-and-laser-products\/laser-diodes\/\">laser diode<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Specifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Wavelength: 520nm<\/li>\n<li>Output power: 80mW<\/li>\n<li>Compact, TO-38, I-cut package<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Key Features<\/h2>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong data-redactor-tag=\"strong\">PL520B<\/strong>\u00a0has an output power of 80mW and delivers superior beam quality due to Osram\u2019s \u2018Brilliant Beam Technology\u2019. This technology improves the far field beam profile. The diode&#8217;s performance is very stable over a broad range of temperatures. The green laser diode is offered in a compact TO38 I-Cut package for miniaturized applications. In addition, the threshold current is reduced to 40mA which improves energy efficiency.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Applications<\/h2>\n<p>Due to the improved far field beam profile, the image quality is enhanced in projection applications.
